Wouldn’t it be super awesome if you could get Hughenden Valley events into your personal calendar as well?
You’re in luck. We have two options. Our visitors can export a snapshot of the events, or subscribe to automatically get updates when the calendar changes on the HVH website.
How to get Hughenden events in to your personal calendar
Visit the calendar on the HVH website using your desktop or iOS device and you’ll notice a button at the bottom :-

Click on Google Calendar and you’ll be redirected to your Google Calendar, where you’ll be prompted to add events directly to your personal Google Calendar. It might take Google some time to get the events; they might not show up immediately. Also, if you choose this option, Google Calendar will update with any event changes from the website every 24 hours (this time frame is created by Google Calendar).
Use the iCalendar option to subscribe to the calendar in your iCalendar application. The frequency with which the HVH calendar syncs with your personal iCalendar will depend upon your iCalendar settings. Clicking the Subscribe option will give you the next 30 events. This limit is in place because larger files are more likely to fail in iCal readers.
The Export .ics file option will download an .ics file for you to add events to any other application that you’d like. Once exported, this will not change, so you’ll need to export a new .ics file every time our HVH calendar gets new events added or modified.
If you’re wondering what an .ics file is, it allows you to import events into a calendar application, like Apple’s iCal or Google Calendar. For example, here are the step-by-step instructions for importing an .ics file into a Google Calendar.
Android mobile phones
If you have an Android device, when you click an iCal or Google Calendar link, the system doesn’t automatically open the Google Calendar app. For this reason we only show these options on Desktops, iPhones and other iOS devices, but not Android devices. You can still subscribe your personal Google Calendar to us so that your mobile displays events in Hughenden, but the initial set up should be done on a desktop or iOS device.
